“Broadway Belt” or chest singing
After my students truly understand and sing cleanly in their head voice, I am able to show them the technique of “Belt-
singing” or chest voice. It’s amazing how this works- it just takes time and patience!

I am a classically trained singer
This is no way means that I am going to make every singer study classical music! I teach all beginning singers how to open
their voice and learn how to breathe using a classical, Italian style. If you want to develop a beautiful voice with great power,
then studying classical songs to learn, polish and perform is a must!

The most effective approach to our goal depends on the reasons a student is not already
singing; perhaps lack of practice, lack of confidence, lack of discipline, or professional
rejection; or maybe a mistaken belief that whoever told you you couldn’t sing knew what they
were talking about. They didn’t!

BREATHING
My emphasis is to turn your body into an actual open, resonating, acoustic
instrument. This is achieved by developing the correct singing posture,
expanding the ribs and lungs, and developing the diaphragm and singing
muscles. An instrument only sounds as good as it’s built, so by building
your singing muscles in the correct way, everything improves.

Placement, breathing, diction, song interpretation, musicianship and
strengthening of your voice
